French Ligue 1 side Nice looked to have finally turned the corner as they now set their sights on the top half of the log standings.
Last season’s surprise package have failed to replicate the sort of form that saw them top the league standings for large parts of the previous campaign.
But, having registered successive wins in the league, and with Europa League knockout football to look forward to, things are looking rosy for the club once more.
Jean-Michael Seri’s return to fitness looks to have had a positive impact on his teammates with a 2-1 win away to Toulouse followed by a 3-1 win over FC Metz on home soil.
The 26-year-old, who was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona ahead of the 2017-18 season, played an integral part in Nice’s success last season, but has not reached the same heights over the past few months.
The Ivory Coast international, though, is slowly starting to build some sort of rhythm – something that will come as a huge boost for his club side as they aim to climb their way up the log standings.
Nice are away to Vitesse in the Europa League on Thursday evening with second spot in Group K already confirmed.
