Ugandan international striker Milton Karisa has thanked God, his teammates and the technical team after getting his first goal against Congo.
The Vipers forward salvaged a point for the Cranes in Congo Brazzaville in his first start as they ended their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers with another away point.
“I feel good because it’s not easy to get that chance and also get on the score sheet,” he told reporters.
“It’s not always easy, the pressure, different environment, my first game on the senior team.
“I thank God since he made me calm. I was calm and thank my teammates because we played as a team and got the point as a team.”
Karisa is arguably among the fastest rising youngsters in the team and was key as the Cranes qualified for the 2018 African Championships in Morocco early next year.
